Question Will an HDMI switcher solve my issue?

Red hdmi is my current setup. Blue is my theoretical setup.

Right now my PC has surround and so does my PS4, I just have to switch the input on the av receiver. Now that I use headphones for gaming, I don't need the surround sound. Currently when playing PS4, I can still use my other monitor for internet but there is no sound. Would this setup allow me to use my PS4 with my headphones for game sound and my other monitor work for internet with surround sound? If all is good, would the switcher lose any quality or fps compared to a straight connection?

Surround sound comes from your AV receiver. AV switch at Monitor 2 would switch video between PC and PS4. If your monitor(s) have audio as well, they could produce (stereo) sound

I hooked up the switcher. Everything works video wise what I wanted, only problem is audio. When I set the HDMI switcher to the PS4, monitor 2 correctly still shows my PC (that's what I want) but the audio from the receiver no longer works. The sound icon on the taskbar gets the red circle thing and when I troubleshoot it, it says it's unplugged.
