I want to know because I might get this for my birthday in a couple of months and my sister and I would really enjoy it. Will it function on frames above 30 for the most part? I'm assuming no, but it's always good to ask.

Solution
How more in depth than "no, it won't work well, if at all" do you need? Do you want the precise number of frames you will get, because no one can predict that.

Look at how far below the minimum GPU (GTX 970, R9 290) your GPU is (three tiers). I can predict with almost certainty you will not be able to push the frames required for the HTC Vive to be even close to playable.

And it requires an FX 8350 or greater, of which your CPU isn't too far behind, but the FX-series is garbage for this day and age - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

Solution
it won't work. there is nothing to add.

the 460 is WAY too WEAK. to use a Vive you need at least a GTX970/1060, or RX580; and you probably want to go a bit better then those with a 1080.

you're talking about a $600 peice of hardware. Marrying it to a $500 pc isn't going to cut it.
