Will an i3 6100 pair well with my GTX 1050 ti???

Recently I purchased a GTX 1050 ti, but it didn’t seem to help that much with the games I wanted to play (Civ 5, TF2, CSGO and im hoping Rainbow 6 siege). So my question is, will an i3 6100 make these games run very smoothly?

Right now it is an AMD A4-6300 Dual Core, I’m aware that I will need to get a new motherboard.

Since you own A4 6300 , which uses a ddr3 ram,you would require to buy a low end motherboard like one from biostar to run your old ddr3 rams or else you would need to buy new ddr4 ram.

As far as mother board is concerned then nothing but with ddr4 it should be 5 to 8%increase in gaming.It will just future proof your computer.
