Will an i5 4440 bottleneck a 1060 6gb?

you'll be fine for most stuff but you'll be working that cpu hard, which is ok. but at 1080p you'll be able to get 60fps or better on med to high settings

Yeah Intel hasn't really upped there game on CPUs until the 8th gen series. That CPU shouldn't be a bottleneck and if you have issues later on you can swap it for an i7 from the same gen and it should be about par with a 7700K at the same clocks. The i7 2600K is still holding on fine in most games now if that helps.

There are a handful of cpu heavy games where a 4 core i5 cannot sustain a minimum of 60 FPS. The 4440 is one of the weaker modern i5’s too.

I’d expect acceptable FPS in these games but just dont expect to alway achieve a minimum of 60 FPS.

What games? I know probably Ashes and GTA V but what else?

Plus it's a 1060 it's not exactly a 144Hz card

What GPU are you running? That should be getting a lot higher than 60 on BF1. A 4460 stays well over 60 most of the time with some stuttering.
