will an i5 4570 bottleneck an ultrawide experience

in my current build i have an i5 4570 and a 1070 on my 1080p monitor (i know , kinda overkill) and i wonder if i get an ultrawide monitor if my cpu will just completly bottleneck the experience.
any answer is greatly appreciated

At its 100% operational capacity, the 1070 cannot be a constraint, specially on 1080p. So if you are good on your current monitor, and your upcoming ultrawide one is 1080p as well, then you should be good on that too.

Anytime you increase resolution. You increase work for the GPU. Work for the CPU remains the same (per frame).

Let's take 60 FPS for example. The amount of work a CPU has to perform to prepare those 60 frames in one second for a GPU. Remains the same. It takes approximately the same amount of work to prepare those frames at 1024x768 as it does at 3840x2160. The GPU on the other hand. Must perform a great deal more work to render those 60 frames at 3840x2160 than at 1024x768.

If your CPU performs adequately at 1920x1080 it will still do so at 2560x1080 or higher ultrawide resolution. Your GPU performance will decrease. It shouldn't be an issue at 1080 or 1440 ultra-wide resolutions.

Unfortunately, that is not a the case here. Your CPU will bottleneck in CPU demanding games. Check the link that I have posted above.
The point is, if you are not finding any issues on your current screen, then you wont find anything on a wide screen at the same resolution.

i dont think im experiencing a bottleneck currently because my gpu is always at max load when playing shadow of war , battlefront 2 and overwatch so i think im ok and btw thank you for all the replies you’ve really helped me out
