Will an i5 7400 possibly bottleneck my Geforce GTX 1060 6GB?

Every game is different, some will be more CPU intensive and some GPU intensive. Looking at a few benchmarks and comparisons and considering that the i5 7400 is used in some builds with gtx 1070s, I dont think it will bottleneck and you should have a great experience with that duo.

I suppose it depends on the game and graphics settings. For the most part at 1920x1080 or higher with all graphics settings at max. I don't think it would be a problem.

Rather unlikely, apart from some extremely CPU-intensive games (big maybe behind that)

I'd say it's a pretty good combo.

Well, it depends on what monitor...resolution and Hz? If you own or plan on purchasing a fast refresh monitor then yes, it can bottleneck a i5 7400 in some games.

However, in most games at 1080p that CPU will not cause performance dips for the GTX1060.

This'll be the monitor I'll be purchasing (it's nothing extraordinaire but it'll do the job well enough as I come from a 15.6" laptop screen, it's already a big big upgrade, plus I can't really afford more):

In that case the i5 7400 will not cause any performance issues and will work well with the GTX1060.
