Will an i7 4790k fit in the 1151 socket?

This maybe a super noob question but will my 4790k work in a 1151 socket? I just built this computer and I wanted it to be upgrade-able. But because of my budget I went with the current gen instead of waiting till x99 was cheaper and now I'm regretting it. I'm pretty sure I know the answer but my fingers are crossed.

No. When the socket changes, it is usually due to a pinout change.

Even LGA2011v3 is not compatible with LGA2011v2.

No, they are not compatible. Skylake moves the voltage regulator back onto the motherboard and primarily uses DDR4 RAM, so the 4790k wouldn't work even if the sockets were physically identical.
