Question Will an i7 work with Acer TC 885?

Hello. I have a Acer TC 885 prebuilt, with the Intel i3 8100. I also have a good friend who works at Intel and he says he can give 50% off discounts to friends. Would it be worth upgrading to a Intel Core i7-8700 (like will it really effect performance?) and if I did will it work with my current computer? Would the i3 stock fan work with the i7 with extra case fans? Thanks.

Your Acer's motherboard has the B360 chipset so it should work with the i7-8700.

Stock cooler is fine as both CPUs have the same TDP rating.

Extra case fan is definitely a plus.
