My upcoming build will dual boot both Windows 10 and Linux Mint, and the mobo mentioned in the title is my mobo of choice so far. The Windows half will be for some light gaming, and by light I mean older games like "Knights of the Old Republic" and "Clive Barker's Undying." Since such is the case, will a GPU be even necessary with games that old? I do have a couple of GPUs in mind, if the answer is yes, but if I can shave a few bucks off of my build, all to the good.

Solution
Those kind of antique games won't require any card, the iGPU should be enough. You should be fine with any board as the iGPU is embedded into CPU these days, unlike those times.
So, basically it is the CPU you choose that matters, not the motherboard.
