Will an X3370 work on my 790I Ultra?

Hi Guys!

I have a EVGA 790I Ultra Mobo and Might get a Xeon X3370.

Will it work ok without trouble?

EVGA Site shows all the X9000, X6000,9000,6000, like Q9650,QX9770,Q6600 ect but say nothing about Xeons.


From my knowledge it should work, the Xeon is just a better Quality CPU but basically the same thing.


But I wanted to ask you first.

I wouldn't use a xeon if you have a choice. It should post, but can't say if it will be detected properly.
