Will Asrock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional support upgrade from Win7 to Win10?

Hi Folks,

I have three systems - two running under Win8.1 and one running under Win7 Pro-64.
I registered all three for the Windows 10 upgrade.

The system running under Windows 7 Pro-64 is my original desktop with the following configuration:

Asrock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional (BIOS updated to latest P1.70 level)
Intel Core i7-3770
G.Skill Ares (2 x 8GB)
System Drive is OCZ Vertex 4 (256GB)

I've checked the Asrock website Windows 10 compatibility webpage and the Fatal1ty Z77 Professional is not included in the list which does not go back further than Z87 boards.

So, I have a concern that this Z77 board - out of the three systems - is likely to be the highest-probability-of-failure in a migration to Windows 10.

Murphy has also stuck in his long and pointed nose as Microsoft decided to "fulfil the reservation" for this Z77/Win7 combination before either of the Win8.1 systems. I've deferred the update until such time as I can get a concrete answer on the board:Win10 compatibility issue.

So, please would anyone who has successfully migrated to Windows 10 on the Asrock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional (preferably from Win7) post their experiences and hassles (if any) together with a roadmap to avoid any potential pitfalls?

Best Regards,

Dave

as long as the mb has the newest bios file you wont have any issue with the intel z77 chipset. i been a tester of windows 10 on asus sabertooth z77 and never had an issue do to the chipset of the mb. windows 10 has the newest chipset for intel mb in the iso. as with going from windows 7 to 10 make sure you have your persnal files backed up in case the update failes.
