I have Seasonic GX-750W 80 Plus Gold power supply, it's brand new. Currently I'm looking to buy a new GPU. I have my eyes on 6800 XT and 6900 XT models, but right now there is a deal for AMD Radeon™ RX 6900 XT OC Formula 16GB RX6900XT OCF 16G for 600 euros ~ $651.

I've read about 6900XT running on 750W power supply withut problems, but those were models with 2 x 8 pin connectors etc, nothing like AsRock 6900 XT OC Formula, it is the most binned 6900XT. AsRock says recommended power supply 1000W. (I've seen posts with people using 5900X, 5950X, with 6900 XT on 750W power supply but none with AsRock OC Formula 6900XT).

So I'm wondering should I get it and use it with "Silent Mode" BIOS switch enabled?
Should I get it at all?
Will it work?
What is the worst that can happen?
Could I overclock my CPU if it happens to work?

I would definitely keep it stock, or maybe set the power limit, undervolt or something.

This is my setup:
MB: AsRock B550M Steel Legend
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X (Stock)
RAM: 2x16GB 3600MHz Corsair Vengeance Pro SL CL18
Storage:
1TB Kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe
1TB Patriot Viper VPN100 PCIe 3.0 NVMe
1TB Toshiba 7200RPM HDD
500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM HDD
Fans: 5 x 120mm Fractal Design Aspect 12 RGB PWM
Case: Fractal Design Pop Mini Air White RGB
PSU: Seasonic GX-750W 80 Plus Gold

I've bought it. It works fine. GPU PPT Limit in hwinfo is 325W, when I play aroung in Radeon Adrenaline software with Power Limit, Voltage etc. PPT Limit changes. I'm satisfied with this and had no problems with stress testing, benchmarks and gaming. 750W Seasonic Gold works like a charm.

if you want this powerful of a card, yes.

no telling for sure if it will work, likely not.

you will need to get a proper wattage power supply.

if it happens to work on such a low wattage then overclocking your CPU is likely going to require even more power so you will be risking still needing a proper power supply all over again.
