That gigabyte is a fairly mundane spec unit with all Chinese caps.
While it has the spec to run a 380 ,depending on its age ?? (Its an old pre-2010 model ) & your cpu) I'm not sure id want it touching 80%+ usage.
The 960 is a safer option IMO ,with the board you're running I'm guessing your CPU will be the limit more than both the 960 or the 380 in which case performance difference between the 2 cards is unimportant.

is it? but im really on a tight budget... =(
unless i got for msi gtx 960 gaming 2g instead... because it needs much more lesser power.. but performance wise its not as good as r9 380 as from what ive read

Tis be true. If you aren't running a small truck load of HDD and ROMS you should be fine... Just also ensure that the PSU has the right plugs for the card you get. For instance, my old 500W had 2x6 pin plugs where I needed 1x6pin and 1x8pin....

Also make sure the "500W" rating is not MAx only and normal operation is like 400W. Some companies advertise their equipment at max rating which differs from the actual real-world usage.
