Hey guys

My hardware specs are:
  1. AMD FX 6300 (CPU)
  2. ASUS M5A78L-M-USB3 (MOTHERBOARD)
  3. 16 GB RAM
  4. CORSAIR CX 600 600 WATT
  5. GTX 750TI 2GB
I am planning to upgrade to GTX 1660 ti 6gb gpu. Will it be compatible with the above motherboard and cpu?

How old is that PSU? You would ideally need to pick up a new, reliably built PSU alongside the GPU(when you do buy the GPU. It'll drop into your PCIe slot...but I'd be very worried about your PSU's power delivery and the platform wont give you good frame rates, to be honest.

It's 3 year old

Are you upgrading the platform any time soon? The benefits decrease tremendously with an FX-6300 once you get to 1050 Ti/960 levels of GPU. Nor would upgrading to an FX-8350 remedy that situation (and your motherboard would be a poor choice to run one anyway).

So I've to buy the new set for it right

I've got a very similar build @vulcan0512

I got my AMD FX 6300 overclocked to 4.4GHz and I just upgraded graphics from 1050 Ti to 1660 Ti . In passmark the score is very low and it looks like there is a bottleneck somewhere.

Does anybody have a recommendation how to track the bottleneck? How do I know it's a power problem? The CPU and GPU usage are both low during the passmark tests (PerformanceTest 9.0).
