The pci-e slots on those motherboards are probably pci-e 1.0 x16 . They might not be electrically compatible with any graphics card made in the last 7 or 8 years
I would want to try and see if a pci-e 2.0 x16 card would even run before spending money on any updates .
Strange because a Nvida GTX 280 is only 6 years old. So how it can't be compatible with 7 or 8 years.
