yes it will. the ddr2 on the motherboard is not related (in terms of compatibility) with the vram of the GPU. Just think about it, we have ddr2/ddr3 for motherboards, if this dictates compatibility, then how are we going to use the ddr5 of the gpu, we dont even have ddr4 for boards
