Will be my computer able to play 4k games smoothly?

Hello!

I will purchase a 50 inch 4k tv this week but I don't know if I will able to play games in ultra smoothly.

This is my pc specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte G1.Guerrilla
CPU: intel i7 960 3.20GHz
RAM: 16gb DDR3
Graphics card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 4gb DDR5

I will be able to play high end games with this spec? like the witcher 3, GTA 5, Metal Gear SOlid 5....

No. Even a single 980ti won't run 4K ultra very smoothly.

That will highly depend on the game. It will run WoW in 4k smoothly. most modern graphically intensive games require 2 980Ti's at this point to run them at 4k smoothly. There is very high hopes on Pascal really breaking into the single card for 4k solution.

so, I will only use the tv as pc monitor, if I'm going to play witcher 3, what I must do? play it with lower resolution?
