Will bottlenecking a GPU permanently harm it?

So I have an i3 4130 3.4ghz, and I'm wanting to upgrade my gpu to the power of these cards: GTX 960 or 760, 770. Knowing that my cpu will bottleneck those cards. Does bottlenecking permanently damage the card? Or does it just limit your FPS until you get a better CPU

if you try and stick your GPU in a bottleneck it will probably break it, otherwise if the CPU cant feed the GPU with enough data you arent using the GPU to max efficiency
