As the title says, will changing the mobo and doing fresh Windows install on new mobo gets rid of the previous malwares?

I'm currently waiting for my new mobo to arrive and everyday, I've been performing scans and checks to get rid of the malware that I might have been infected few days ago. I said "might" because luckily, there are no signs of strange activities nor degrading system performance for now. Though, I can't let my guard down as I'm not sure if I'm really infected or not and this malware has attacked quite a few users which it seems to take control of the PC and get access to accounts (such as emails, steam, bank etc).

That said, I won't be cloning and backing up datas of C drive nor use them for the new mobo. However, I'll still manually transfer handful of files and settings (stored in appdata hidden folder) as I need them when I freshly install OS.

Thank you, help would be appreciated it.

Argh ah heck. I guess doing full scans/checks after changing mobo is recommended?

No no, I'm not changing my mobo because of this malware. The real reason is because my mobo is pretty old and its having constant BIOS issues thus, resulted in getting a replacement.

While I was choosing which mobo to get, I accidentally downloaded and opened .scr files (mistakenly thought it was an image file) and after hearing that those files were malicious I quickly performed various checks and scans to remove such threats. However, I'm not really sure if I'm really infected or not... I'm not seeing any suspicious signs/activities so it's really hard to tell.

My new mobo will probably arrive early next week so I'm just asking if changing of mobo and fresh install will eliminate the whole malware issues as I won't be using full backups/clones of the current one (not to mention it won't even work due to different drivers).
