I got asus b350 motherboard ( wifi one ) and corsair 16x1 3000mz ram. i wanna add 8gb more ram ( for a game, cities skylines ) can i 8gb or has to be 16? Also does it have to be 3000mz or can be 2400. sale at local hardware store 2400mz are running at 50% while 3000mz only 10% off.

16gb x 1 ram 3000mz
ryzen 1700x

"better", very likely yes... assuming the OC is stable.
Whether "better" is great performance, or only marginally less bad in performance, depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

A GTX 1060 is 3GB or 6GB, there is no 8.
If you're only running 1x16GB, you're hindering that CPU. Ryzen really benefits from dual-channel memory....

hey u merged my threads. rest is fine but the power on issue is very important

what is oc? then 6gb 1060gb

oh i wish i knew it earlier, now got 16gb one so whats the solution. i want significant improvement not marginally less bad. game is using 60% ram and 40% gpu.
