Question Will cloning my HD to another drive hooked up to the same computer as a backup cause any issues?

If I clone my system disk to another internal drive on my computer for backup purposes, will that cause any problems?

That is not really a good way to keep "backups".

Having multiple identical bootable drives in the same system can cause serious issues.

Cloning is for changing the OS (or other data) from one drive to another, right now.
Imaging is for storing backups.

If you clone to a drive, anything already on that destination drive is going bye-bye..........

Is that OK with you? Would that be "a problem"?

After the clone is done consider unplugging the other disk.

Think about going external and connect as needed.
