Im looking forward to buy an i5-8400. But if I buy it now then I will not be able to use it because of the price of the mobo will be too expensive and I also wouldnt be able to use the mobo on its full potential. The question is will the price of the processor go higher or lower or remain the same anytime soon? If the price go high then I will buy the only processor now and wait for the motherboard to be released. By the way, I live in Malaysia.

I doubt that Intel will change the wholesale price for the foreseeable future.
If, for some reason, the I5-8400 becomes wildly popular and becomes a scarce commodity, then some retailers may well raise the asking price.
I do not see that coming.
It is the I5-8600K and particularly the I7-8700K that seem to be in short supply.

My opinion is that one can buy some very reasonably priced X370 based motherboards today. At least in the US.
I would be inclined to pay today a small premium over the future expected lower priced motherboards.
You will then have a motherboard that is capable of fully utilizing any cpu upgrade in the future.
