Will compression fittings designated for 12mm tubing work on 1/2" OD tubing?

So I'm back home in the US for a trip, and I've decided to some colored PromoChill tubing, but they only come in 1/2" OD, 3/8" ID. The compression fittings I saw in the US don't fit my style a lot, and the Bitspower ones are just too expensive, so I'm planning on getting Barrow ones once I get back to China (Since they're cheap, aren't bad quality, and look like the Bitspowered ones). However, they only come in sizes meant for 12mm OD tubing. Will they work?

TLDR:
1/2" is 12.7mm, basically, will that 0.7mm affect it? Will that extra .7mm stop it from going in? I can always sand the tubes slightly thinner if needed as a last resort.

It depends on the fittings' design - they may or may not have enough slack and tubing compressibility to accommodate a 0.7mm tighter fit.

There is also a chance that those "12mm" fittings are actually meant for 1/2" tubing but someone in the supply chain rounded that down to 12mm.
