Will Corsair Vengeance work with AMD Phenom II CPU?

So I want to upgrade my RAM, had been playing around with a measly 6GB of --- wait for it --- 667MHz since 2010. I'm planning to buy the Corsair Vengeance Pro series (16GB - 2x8GB @ 1866MHz).

My question: I have an AMD Phenom ii X6 1045T @ 2.7GHz (no OC, obviously). Will the Corsair Vengeance sticks work with this CPU?

The reason behind my confusion is that on the Corsair website, it says "Vengeance Pro Series is optimized for performance on the latest 3rd and 4th generation Intel® Core™ platforms." Also, under compatibility, it says the same thing.

I have an Asus M5A97 R2.0 mobo, that has a DIMM speed of up to 2133MHz (OC). So I'm not even going to try for 2133 at this moment.

Solution
It'll work on that board fine. But since the Phenom II X6 1045T's memory controller maxes out at 1333 MHz, you may or may not be stable at 1866 MHz. 1600 MHz should be no problem, however.

WOW, rolli59, I'm blown away! Thank you very much, I never expected such an instant answer!!!

Can you tell me one more thing, please? After posting, I was still scouring the web, and I found this website, which said under Integrated peripherals / components that a) Supported memory: DDR2-1066, DDR3-1333 and b) Maximum memory bandwidth (GB/s): 21.3.

Does this mean that even if my mobo supports up to 2133MHz, my CPU won't let me have more than 1333MHz, and that I can't bung in more than 21.3GB of RAM?

Damn, I JUST found out about the memory controller, literally a minute AFTER I posted my question! And now you've confirmed it! Still, many thanks! Guess it's time I save up for a CPU, now...

Okay. Interesting. It's funny how I've been thinking I'm a total ignoramus looking at all the official specs and everything, and then finding out much of those specs can actually be suspect... Thanks anyway, rolli59. Much appreciated!
