Will Corsair Vengence 12GB 3x4GB DDr3 work with Ga-Z68XP-UD4

What is the big diffrence with single and dual channel? Especiall if your increasing the total gb's to 12 from 8? Is it slower ? I'm in the same boat I want to use all 3 sticks to play arma 2 but I only have 2 in my asus deluxe z68 in A1 and B1 slots. as the manual staes but when I put in 3 sticks it says 12.xxx gb's total memory and when I use xmp profile it it gives speed of 1986 mhz so what are the pros and cons especially when it comes to gaming because I read a article relating to the issue on this site dated 2008 that showed little to no diffrence in single vs dual. Please advise sir. Thanks.

Which is what?.......that was not a opinion more of a statement......not here to granny bicker just to find the ram best suited for my PC. :/ Comprende amigo?

I wouldn't put a lot of stock into information from 2008 in this case. There have been major memory controller changes in that period of time. Also, for those of you offering up advice, read up on what Intel has in the past called "flex mode" or "flex memory mode" or "Flex Memory Technology".

Ideally on anything other than an X58 board, 2 or 4 modules will give the best overall memory bandwidth. However, in a case like this one, if you "NEED" more than 8GB of memory, you'll do better with 12GB aka 3 modules.

Thank you! That is why I was asking these questions I was wonder if my mobo with the newer technology would be able ti run the ram better in single channel than the mobo's of past.......so there is no real diffrence then? Only reason I dont have 4 sticks is because it is a 3 stick ram kit at 200 bucks a pop kind f pricey to fork over that dough for another stick and 2 on the shelf eh?

Ok So what suggest that I should take 12 or 16 GB (four slots) for this motherboard. I wonder that motherboard is new rev.1 Should I wait for come up new CPU soon next year? Because I prefer that it have UEFI instead old BIO. I can't find one of those Z68 have that.

No, Z68 Does not support Triple-Channel.

I suggest 8GB or 16GB Vengeance.
