Will this GPU be okay with the PSU http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487079&cm_re=980-_-14-487-079-_-Product ?

I know it has 42A but just checking. Don't want to blow up my machine mid gaming.

750W is recommended for...

1. Wattage is barely enough, i would not recommend it: Minimum & Recommend PSU Requirements

2. VS is a tier 3 GPU, not recommended for gaming and not recommended for a mid ~ high tier gaming rig like yours.
XFX TS or XTR or Pro Series
EVGA G2 or GS
Seasonic M12III
Cooler Master V Series

What wattage would you recommend to give me room to upgrade in the future? If I buy this 980, I will probably look to do sli some time in the future, once I've upgrade motherboard.

As you already know, your PSU provides up to 42 amps, which is enough for feeding the GTX 980 Ti which requires 38 amps. It is a bit close to the limit of the PSU though, and if you take into account the gradual degradation of the PSU it might not be able to provide 38 amps anymore, causing system instability under load. Even if it is stable the PSU will be working at its full under load, which is never good for its longevity.

So if you don't want to buy a new PSU right away, I would advice to stress test the GPU once you get it, if all works you are fine for now. You can get a new PSU later. But you should replace the PSU as soon as possible.

SLI 980s do fine with 800-1000w. With that you still have some space to add harddrives or OC as much as you want.
((Running SLI 780tis on 860w everythig OCd) 780tis use more watt than 980s)
Im using the Corsair AX860 btw and like it.

Edit: If you plan on running a SLI system with these cards i definitely recommend buying a Tier 1 PSU. :)

Can you suggest a PSU with the dimensions of (H x W x D) to fit my case, and with 2 or more PCI-E 6+2pins?

I have a budget of £120, which will allow me to buy the 980 as well next month.

Currently in work, haven't really got time at the moment to search, would be helpful :)

Here is a Tier list for PSUs.

You should be fine with any Tier 1 or 2 PSUs on the list. Im not familiar with prices in the UK so i cant really recommend one. (germany 😛)
Just go for any of these series with 800-1000w which fits your budget and you're fine. :)

750W is recommended for SLI.

Excellent Options!

Thanks guys!

I am choosing to go with the EVGA Super NOVA 850W PC Power Supply - Gold, seeing as it is in price range and has really good reviews :)
