Hi.....

I am looking at buying the Asus FX705DT, but it comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H CPU and a GTX 1650 GPU. I am worried that the AMD will bottleneck the GTX and my gaming experience wont be at its full potential.

Would getting an i7 and a GTX 1050ti be better for a gaming package? According to google the GTX 1650 is much better than the 1050ti though.

Here is a link to the laptop in question.

Thanks for the advice :)

Yup. I would bet the Ryzen 7 is comparable to a high-end mobile I5 considering their core count and overall speed.
The Ryzen does come with a good Vega 10 IGPU, however it doesnt matter much with the nvidia card.
I'm changing from a Dell i7 6500U (Dual core) with an R5 M335 Graphics card, so I was just worried that although I was upgrading a very low end GPU, Id be shooting myself by going for an AMD product again, evidently not, thanks 😂

You will have a good experience at 1080p with either.
The ryzen has a better GPU, so id buy that.

Maybe not maxed out in every game, but certainly competitive with medium settings.
My current GPU, the R5 M335 is pretty terrible to be honest 😂Running low on Oddysey with resolution set to 60%, kind of low. But anyways thanks for the help :)
