will cpu overheating cause damage to motherboard

as the title says does cpu overheating cause damage to mother board and orther parts like :gpu ram
coz i oc my e4500 to 3.25ghz at 1.42v
and i heats to 55 degree - 65degree
while playing games
is that bad
plz help

Not so much on the overheating side as much as the power draw side. If the motherboard's VRMs cannot handle the power draw, it can burn out and will degrade the motherboard's life span.



Nope; that is fine. I would be concerned if it goes over 70--73C on that CPU.
google max safe temp for the cpu, if its below the safe temp then its absolutely fine... I dont know for sure but this might be the safe temp for this cpu...

you need to run a program and check the temps on other components, then you will be able to know, or I, if it will damage anything or not...
note, overvolting the cpu reduces its life...

download hwinfo program, and read the temps while you are playing games

Solution
The motherboard might be damaged if it is taking too much power through the single 8 pin and 24 pin. This is why some motherboards have a second 8 pin CPU power plug so the motherboard would be able to supply the power without potentially damaging the motherboard. But you should be fine with a normal motherboard for a 0.5 ghz overclock with a water cooler. But I don't recommend going too extreme and risk your CPU and Motherboard.

When you are doing extreme OCing, the 8 pin and 24 pin sometimes cannot provide enough power. So some motherboards have a 2nd 8 pin to provide more power. Also, if you remember when the Pentiums came out, They used more power than the motherboards of the time could handle. This led to areas of the motherboard which were responsible for delivering the power to turn brown and deteriorate. When in certain levels of overclocking, this happens also and can potentially damage the board.
