[SOLVED] Will CPU overheating damage the Motherboard?

I was wondering if my CPU ever overheated will it damage the Motherboard. I was planning on getting a different CPU since the Ryzen 3rd gen is coming out soon and wanted to know if I needed to get a new motherboard if this CPU ever overheated.

No, very unlikely. Maybe if you overclocked the CPU heavily on a weak motherboard and overheated the VRM to the point of failure, however that would be quite noticeable as the motherboard would no longer work at all.
