Yeah it will. Two points:
1) Check compatibility. Dont shoot yourself in the foot. Some historical issues here
2) If you cant OC that high, then you are just wasting the extra headroom. Look at my sig. Its all dependent on the FSB. If you cant get it to 400+, then you are just wasting money (RAM/2 should = FSB). If your FSB is 377 like in my setup, then my RAM is running at 754Mhz, short of the rated 800Mhz.
Try find a graph about this boards FSB to clock. You'll see there is a massive window of FSB speeds that cant be reached (cant remember, but somewhere between 390 and 425). Thats on my setup at least. Just Google it. You'll find lots of info. Very difficult to generalize. Each system is different.
