Will DDR4 16 GB 2133 work on dell 7567

I need to know if DDR4 2133 is compatible with a dell 7567 gaming laptop. It's recommending 2400???

Not sure. By JEDEC standard all DDR4 will run at the base standard speed of 2133 MHz.

So physically it has to work.

But I find it interesting that in the manual it specifically states only 2400 MHz RAM so there could be a BIOS incompatibility introduced by the designers to restrict RAM speeds.

My question after this is why you would want to use 2133 MHz over 2400 MHz, it will be slower. Be aware that if you mix 2133 MHz with 2400 MHz the system will downclock the 2400 MHz to 2133 MHz.

Because it has 8 GB 2400 Mhz Ram modules in it now and I can get new crucial 16 GB 2133 Mhz for a song.

What do you need 16GB for? The vast majority of games will not consume 8GB especially since you are not sharing system RAM with an iGPU, this laptop has a dedicated GPU (GTX 1050). Using the 2133 will likely slow down gaming, not speed it up.
