Will display port to HDMI reduce quality or response time?

My video card is a AMD R9 R95x2 which has no hdmi only display port becouse the card bushes out 4k. i will not be viewing 4k. i went looking for display port monitors but they are costly and rare. i saw display port to HDMI but i was wondering if that would reduce respose time as the monitor i have now is 2ms. keep in mind i am using this for gaming and i will have 3 monitors.

You won't see any discernible difference between hdmi or displayport. You'll need an active displayport to hdmi or dvi adapter to utilize 3 screens. You can use passive adapters for 1-2 monitors.

Looks like you need the mini-displayport type. I'd also recommend getting the shortest possible cable length. The lengths of the cable along with the quality can impact the picture.

well, first off, those cables are full sized DP, your card has mini-DP, so no. I believe 3 mini-DP to HDMI cables will get you 3 monitors for normal use, but for surround gaming, you need active cables/adapters like was said...they're like $30 a pop

You'll need an adapter like this to display on all three hdmi displays at the same time. I believe if you want to only game on one monitor, depending on if your CPU has integrated video, you can output plain desktop monitors from the motherboard outputs. That way you can use 1 mini-displayport to hdmi cords (passive) or DVI to HDMI and then whatever outputs to HDMI from the motherboard.

The GPU comes with a mini-displayport to standard displayport adapter to further confuse your cabling choices.

just to confirm, with this i will have no lag or stutter? will it still be 2ms on my monitor or will it be something like 5ms since its going through an adapter

You won't see any added latency from the adapters. You should be set for some crazy gaming performance if you're running that 295 on a single 1080 screen. Heck, even driving three 1080 panels shouldn't be an issue at all for pretty much any current game. That card is incredible.
