Hello

i am planning to buy a new mother board + video card

this motherboard have 1 PCI-E2.0 X16...

why i am asking this Q coz i read in some reviews that the card takes 2 slots...so will i need a MB that have 2 PCI-E 2.0 X16 slots to fit this card?

No. 2 slot cards simply means it plugs into the one PCIe 16x slot, and takes up so much space that you can't put anything in the next slot. This is usually because of the heatsink. You don't need two PCIe 16x slots, just realize that you won't be able to use the slot clostest to the PCIe 16x slot.

also the 9800gt takes up one space as it has a small heat sink, if u were to get the 9800 GTX this would take up another slot space.

both cards only connect directly to 1 PCIe slot, its just the GTX and ultra range normally take up more physical space because of the extra big heat sinks
