[SOLVED] Will EVGA G2 500 80+ Gold Run A GTX 970?

I'm going to be getting an EVGA 500W PSU and a GTX 970, will these two work well together or will I have to upgrade my PSU? Thanks!

Yes a G2 550W can easlily power a 970.

There is no 500W G2? Assuming you mean the 550W?
If truly part of the G2 lineup (which would be a 550W), those are quality PSUs and more than capable of a 970 + any consumer level CPU out there today.

If it's a.n.other of EVGA's lineup (80+White etc), they'd still be ok in theory, but I'd be probably look to upgrade sooner than later.

Great! I hope it does because my current PSU is an unnamed 500W chinese one which will probably explode any day now.
