Hi everyone! I have an Asrock 880gm-Le motherboard with an onboard amd 5450 graphics. If i use a separate Nvidia card like EVGA gtx 650ti boost 2gb is it compatible? Does it work?

Last question, what about my PSU? currently im using an Acbel 400watts PSU with category 80+bronze sticker on it. I'm not planning to use dual card but only one single card. My point is.. is this powerful enought to run the EVGA 650ti boost 2gb?

400W is a little skimpy imo, I'd go for a 500-550W just to leave yourself some room incase you ever end up doing any stresswork with your PC

Ok, i was also thinkin to replace my current PSU, but im a little tight on budget right now, so i think i'll go for the Gtx card at the moment. Well maybe i'll just disable any additional component on my PC like dvd-rom just to extend a little more power for the Vcard? What do you think?? :) Anyway guys, really it was very informative of you.. it helps us rookies like me to think wisely before spending too much. Thanks again!

Yes i did, it say's minimum psu watts is 357, and recommended is 407 watts. Here is my full specs of my rig: AMD Athlon II X4 640 3.0Ghz, Asrock 880gm-Le mobo, 6GB of RAM, 3x 500GB SATA HDD, including the GTX 650Ti 2gb boost if i already bought one.. How's this?

My current PSU is an ACbel 400watts category 80+, ATX12v. I bought this one when i was still in Taiwan.

I can't speak for this particular PSU, but low quality ones are usually unable to deliver the mentioned wattage.
From what I rapidly googled ACbel seems to be a trusted though old OEM for many PSU manufacturers, hence it should be at least a fair model.

As for now, i need to get the GTX card first, and see if there is a slight improvements in terms of playing some latest games. To be honest im suffering from this low framerates because of my current vcard which is the Asus EAH 5670 1gb card, and it really pisses me off. Not to worry man, once i upgrade my Vcard, i'll go for the next project atleast 500 or 700watts PSU. Thanks man! for your very informative advise.
