hi guys.
so for my birthday im going to build myself a gaming pc for about $750
and ive picked all my parts with a lot of research (about half a year of research)
here is the link please have a look: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/Pandu99/saved/g9v2FT
The Motherboard will ether be that (asus z87-c) or ASRock B85 Killer.
Please tell me what do you think? is those motherboards good for gaming? if not please tell me anything for $100. i will do a small overclock so let me know.
Just scared that this might not work.
thank you

CX is hardly an improvement over a VS. If I were to suggest a higher quality PSU for around the same price the Antec HCG is the only one on partpicker I would go for:

But if you're not overclocking the VS650 is fine.

From my experience this pc seems to be ok for what you have stated. i think that the motherboard is fine and is compatable. you should consider a toshiba satellite p850 31l because they are great as ive sold many

Thanks for your help luco.
If I cant over clock I won't.
So are you saying the as rock b85 is better than the asus z87-c?
Are they good for gaming?
Thanks

I'm not saying B85 is better, it's the same for performance - you don't need Z87 with that CPU because it's not an overclockable CPU, so B85 or z87 makes no difference

I friken hate amd CPUs.
I think I'm gona use windows 7 coz windows 8 looks complicated, what do you think?
Haha thanks for your help

Ok thanks,
I'm gona go with the asus, I trust asus more and it's the best brand.

no laptops, it's a desktop for me!

I'm gona do a bit of over clocking on the gpu. (R9 270x)
Will the motherboard handle it?
And is the psu still ok? Should I change it?
Thanks
