Well im thinking if factory reset will help with my 100% hard disk problem, disabled prefetch superfetch and others. It was ok until i launch an application or restart my laptop. it spikes up to 100% getting freezes almost all the time. Having a 5400RPM hdd.

It does make a slight difference in booting up bit it still spikes up to 100 whenever i launch an app. Im using windows 10. anyways thanks for the suggestion.

Can you open task manager/performance tab and click Open Resource Monitor

Over view shows activity of all parts of PC, if you look at the Disk window you can sort it by reads or writes, expand the file path out to see what is chewing hdd

ive been having the exact same problem. I did factory reset my computer and it still happened a few times. I was downloading a game and for some reason that spiked it to a constant 80%, there was also an instance where I was just looking on the internet, but for some reason its working pretty perfect now, so I'm skeptical

System took around 3M-4M Bytes while launching application. When its idle, everything only takes around 500K bytes

only way to really stop defender is to use another firewall/antivirus as windows won't let you stop it otherwise
top 2 system services in the 100% time are actually Steam so if that is at startup, just stop steam loading with PC by going to startup tab of task manager and disabling it

I noticed that everytime I launched CSGO, it takes around 30 sec before the Valve thingy comes out, it usually takes 4-5M bytes causing it to have slow launching time, loading maps takes really long as well, almost 3 mins for csgo

ran HDTUNE, no problem with it.
But i seem to have some problem updating the drivers. I went Dell Drivers List and updated the BIOS, after finish installing and restarted my pc. Went back to the page and saw the same version of BIOS in the download list again. What am i doing wrong here?
