Question Will fan spin with an unsupported cpu

Helping a friend build a new pc and I just want to rule this out, his mobo came with a sticker that said 5000 ready but we are using 5800x3d so i was wondering if the cpu might be too new for the bios. Would there be fan spin if an unsupported cpu was installed? Mobo is a asus prime b550.

Yes it should spin or at least short time but that still tells you nothing about BIOS/CPU compatibility.
