Question Will formatting the PC solves crashes to dekstop and BSOD?

Hello everyone,
I have a question, exactly a year ago I bought a new PC, I had no problems with anythingm, Until now.

Starting playing Rainbow 6 Siege 2 months ago, and I had a lot of BSOD crashes, usually with this error : "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" and sometimes (like 2 or 3 times) I had this 1 : "KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION"

I tried to check if the ram is ok using the windows diagnostic tool thing that makes you restart the PC.
It says no errors, so I tried to update the NVIDIA graphics card driver.
Still didn't help, what finally did help is, that I clean installed the drivers, now a new season started which means an update, and after the update the crash came back, but now its not only in this game, I play another RTS game which can run on every system, no intense requirements and it crashes to desktop and I am the only 1 who crashes from my friends, and lethal company (a video game) also BSOD crash with "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA".

It usually crashes randomly, but sometimes on game launch.

So I don't know if I should clean install the drivers again or formatting the pc, or maybe its something else... :\

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You could share your full system's specs with the community, then pass on .dmp files for the community of experts to analyze. As for your specs, please pass them like so;
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

As for your question, you could recreate your bootable USB installer for the OS, install the OS in offline mode then manually reinstall all the latest drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator but if the issue persists, it's probably a conflict with an app or a game or your driver.

Searching about PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA often talks of faulty ram or motherboard /page file/bugged Win update or drivers / or possibly faulty drive.

Since it runs ok for a bit after a clean install suggests it's not ram but could be MS updates as they gradually come or drivers being automatically updated.

Along with your system specs Lutfij requested include Windows version and edition, ie Win 10 pro.

Hey, thanks for the fast reply !

That is quite a bad power supply. Wouldn't be surprised if that is the roote of your problem, compromising every part in the system leading to data corruption.

It is Tier E.

If the slightest chance it isn't psu related and I'd be very surprised it wasn't, you could try reinstalling Windows again then disable automatic driver installation soon after.

You have a really good system and needs a decent power supply. Corsair Rm750x for a suggestion.

Also have you checked cpu temps with that cooler? Check with Core Temp while gaming, hopefully not too hot in excess of 100c, shouldn't be while gaming but being on the lacking side might be too warm for comfort. Your case can accommodate 175mm tall tower cooler, this cooler is 157mm;

So basically id start with power supply first, it does need replacing, then cooling if you find current HSF is struggling.

I understand, but I do have a question, how come the power supply has anything to do with the fact it BSOD only in a specific game, and far from the most intense game I played on this PC, I played Cyberpunk 2077 with 0 crashes, and Baldurs Gate 3 with 0 crashes.

I have looked for PSUs availble to buy in my town and I have found a few, do you mind helping me to find the best 1 for me?

Thermaltake Litepower RGB 650W
Corsair RMe RM750e 80 PLUS Gold 750W
FSP HEXA 85+ Pro 750W

Asus ROG Loki SFX-L 750W Platinum (this 1 is the most expensive, I am also not sure, what am I supposed to expect from a PSU and if it is compatible with the rest of the gear)

I tried using the article you sent, but I am not 100% sure.

#I can only buy it in 2 days, any tips on how to minimize the crashes until I buy the new one?

Was going by what you said.

Anyway, i recommend replacing power supply because all sorts of weird problems can be the result of it. And if you do, psu cables aren't interchangeable, the Antec is semi modular so those cables need to be pulled out and replaced with the new psu.
Yeah I guess its kinda harder to explain in another language, the thing is, I never had problems in any other games, only in this 1, it did crash to desktop on a few games, but only in r6s it BSOD a lot and randomly

Sorry missed this. RMe will do just fine.

Hey, thank you very much for answering and helping,
My PC just crashed again launching the game, and now I managed to see what fails and the file name is BeDaisy.sys

If I understand correctly it has something to do with the Anti-Cheat.

Could it mean that the PSU is fine and its not the thing that causes the crashes?
