Will free-sync work with a Adapter

Hello! just a quick question, Will free-sync work through a DP to HDMI(active) adapter.
Btw the monitor uses free-sync through HDMI.

I'm thinking of buying 3 LG 24mp68vq-p monitors(they use free-sync through HDMI) Most graphics cards have 1 or 2 HDMI ports so i would have to use an adapter for 1 or 2 of them.
Also will free-sync work with eyefininty?

At a guess, I would say no. A passive adapter might work, but certainly there's no indication from AMD that an active adapter will work with Freesync....I suspect since it is being passed through additional conversion output that must not be accounted by AMD's firmware.

Well i gotta ask. Why not just use a display port or HDMI cable without an adapter? What reason do you have for using an adapter?

Not through an active adapter, but according to the internet it will through a passive adapter.
