will getting an SSD solve my preference problems.

i currently have a 500GB SATA III 7200RPM and its slow as hell. i think its the reason why my computer is slow in performance. ive tried defragmenting, turning off services like superfetch, turning off windows notifications, and adjusting with VRAM. i hear SSDs are way faster in preformance.
