So, im curious to know if the gpu logo will still light up if its not connected to the motherboard, BUT IT IS CONNECTED TO THE POWER SUPPLY. and samething if the fans will run without conencted to mobo

If you have a logo on the graphics card you have, the led light used to light the logo.
Is wired to the fan connector. So any power from a fan socket of the graphics card will make it light up.
Or if you choose to run the fans on the graphics card from one of the fan headers of the motherboard directly through converting the fan connection if needed.

For example I can run an old 7970 Ati graphics card from the graphics card fan header provided on the graphics card it`s self. or choose to use a fan header of my motherboard to drive the fans and the led light it has for the Sapphire logo on it.

The fans will still spin up in speed when the temp of the gpu of the graphics card becomes hotter even if i connect the fans of it direct to the motherboard fan header.
But if you pulled the power direct from the power supply they would spin at a fixed speed of 85% rpm.
Fan power and rotation speed as well as the lighting of the card can only be done via where the fans plug into the graphics card board.
or from a free fan header of the motherboard that also has fan and heat monitoring. So the rpm speed of the fans can be changed the hotter the gpu gets on the graphics card to keep the gup chip in it`s thermal limits.

I do not recommend you try to wire the fans direct to the Psu for the 5v and 12v required to drive the cards fans as it will have no fan heat monitoring if you are asking if it is safe to do it that way.

I have a g1 gaming gtx 980ti and it says windforce, i would like to know if the fans are running cuz they are connected to the motherboard or is it cuz they are connected to the PSU? and samething for the windforce light logo? my pc has issues so im tryin to find out some keys to the point where i know what the issue is.
