will GPU watercooling work on my humble PC?

Hi Guys,

I have a budget PC which is a gift from my wife and i want to make it cool particularly the gpu. My System as follows:

Case: CM Masterbox lite 3 (Micro Atx case)
MOBO: Asus H11m-A/m2
CPU: i7 6700 (non K, happy with its performance even no overclocking)
CPU Cooling: CM Hyper 212 LED (almost didn't fit, but happy how it cools my cpu)
RAM: 2x 8GB Kingston DDR4
Fans: 2x CM Sickle flow front intake, 1X Noctua NF-F12 IPPC-2000PWM rear exhaust
GPU: Palit stormx 1060 3GB (i can't complain, its a gift and will not upgrade in 2-3 years)
PSU: Silverstone 500W

So here's my problem, i overclock my gpu a bit to squeeze a bit more performance, its stable and whenever i play with my friends with high end PC's (envy envy envy) my gpu temp reaches 85-88 degrees and I'm not comfortable with it. it really gets hot like my Wife's temper whenever i play and she cannot let me do anything :D so i am thinking of getting an NZXT kraken G12+Corsair Hydro Series H55 to cool my gpu. I want To ask for Your expert opinion, Will it fit on my case having my specs listed above? i plan on installing the h55's fan/radiator in the front replacing one of the sickle flow (if it will fit). My case don't have fan slot on top and bottom.. Please don't tell me to sell my gpu and buy new GPU. I can't. my wife is too sentimental that if i sell it she will think that I don't give importance to Her gift....So i just think of something to upgrade it a bit. Please help. Any other suggestion is much appreciated. Thanks in Advanced.

Cheers!

Solution
Grab some Arctic MX-4, and clean off the old paste on your gpu, and replace with that. Might get you a few more degrees without changing the cooler.

You dont need a waterblock if you use the NZXT Kracken and H55 cooler (as he mentions in his post).

Currently my gpu fan is always at 100% once it hits 50 or 60 degrees (done the fan curve thing), then my intake and exhaust fans are always 100%. Airflow i think is ok, my cable management is not so bad. before i get the CM hyper 212 LED my cpu hits 80+ under load, now its 65 degrees max with hyper 212 led. so im thinking if i put an aftermarket cooler for my gpu like what i did with my cpu, temps might improve. I haven't tried changing thermal paste though..budget can be raised, its just that i need to know if it will fit in my case and will improve temp, at least im looking for 70-75 degrees max temp under load. As I said earlier, i can't change any of it (including the case) as its a gift. i can only add in some things to improve it. Thanks

So I chat with people from NZXT website and they said that G12 won't work with my Palit card since the orientation is reversed. To cut the story short, The system i was thinking will not work. So i have no choice but to live with the high temp. I hope changing thermal paste might help. Thanks!
