Hi, so I've been playing with an old intel q6600 that I found in storage. But instead of buying a used board for it, I just decided to install it on an old Dell Optiplex 745. For now...
I dunno if it was a coincidence or its the CPU's fault, but the integrated graphics are now glitching... The original CPU was a Pentium D, but I don't think the processor would affect integrated graphics.
So I was thinking of buying a geforce GT1030 low profile GPU for it, but I don't know if it would work on an old system.
I read that the GT1030 is for UEFI only and won't work on legacy bios, but there are also some saying that the 1030 was for older systems and it would work.
Has anybody tried to put a 1030 on the Optiplex 745? Would it work? if not, what would?
