will gta 5 lag if i install on hard disk instead of ssd?

hello about to buy gta 5 in a while, shop owner is saying that if i dont install the game on ssd then it will lag badly. i have one WD green ssd but most space is used by now but i also have wd blue 1 tb hard disk. what should i do to prevent lag? can i split half of game in hard disk and other in ssd?

Lag is normally caused by lower end hardware trying to game, not the hdd/ssd. What you are going to see is going into a new area and the game tries to load the new data. This took so long on the PS2 and original Xbox that they just flashed a pic up on the screen while the data loaded. I can see lag/clipping happen here while the data loads, but once its in ram you should be fine. Assuming you have a good amount of ram.

i have 8gb ram and same in graphic card, will it work?

I have had textures take a while to pop in when the page file/game/OS is on the same HDD.

With a SSD for the system (OS/page file) and GTAV on a HDD, it runs great.
