Will the i5 6600 non k verison bottleneck a gtx1080?

May be a stupid question but it is more powerful than a titan x

Solution
All CPUs bottleneck all video cards, to some degree and at some times. If your 6600K can provide you the framerates you want in the games you play, moving from a 970 to a 1080 (for example) will let you run those games at higher graphical settings without framerate loss.

Heh...define bottlenecking 😀. If bottlenecking means you won't be getting 200 fps on a 1080p 60Hz screen, than that's not bottlenecking, that's just waste 😀 If you are going to be playing in something like 4K or surround, than bottlenecking might be an issue, but I wouldn't worry about that too much otherwise. But of course, the CPU is slower than the GPU, but as stated in previous posts, all gpus wil be bottlencked 😉

Thanks for reply.
This might be important if someone uses 144Hz/G-sync Monitor.
Is resolution also a factor? or GPU just starts to starve at some framerate?

The GPU just starts to starve at a certain framerate. Once it's starved, you can increase graphical settings (such as resolution) for no negative impact on framerate, until you reach the GPU's limits.
