Which one? You never linked any.

I just suggested it because it is by far the best budget psu. But any from tier one or two on this list will be perfect. Some of the tier three ones are listed as tier two on other sites (seasonic) but any one or two psu will be perfect especially if you will be upgrading your other components in the future.

Just remember never ever ever ever cheap out on a power supply. Last thing you want is for it to short out and destroy your components.

A graphics card does not need to fit a socket, only the CPU does.

From what I am seeing, yes it will work for single gpu setups, it supports pcie 3.0 connection. So you should be fine.

Any chance you can tell be what gpu you have now? If it is also a pcie 3.0 card then that would prove it more than just speculation.

Ok. But a gtx 1050 ti will most definitely work as long as you install nvidia drivers.

What is the make/model of your motherboard - just wondering.

Also what is the wattage of your power supply as you may need to upgrade that as well.

Change out your power supply definitely.
Go with this - you can't go wrong with seasonic.

And here are nvidia' drivers (I linked GeForce experience and you can download drivers from there.)

Good luck and happy building!
