Will having multiple GPUs affect/improve performance.

Here are my specs (In case you need them for some reason)

GPU:GTX950
CPU:I5 2550k
RAM:8GB
MOBO:Asus a7m-e
Storage: 250GB

So basically i want to run dayz (Arma II) and I can only get about 30fps when in a city, if i bought another card, and mobo so i could have 2 PCIex16. Would it make a difference?

Sure about that motherboard model? I can't find it on ASUS website, closest thing to it I can find is an AMD laptop board ASUS makes.

You can add a second GTX950 in SLI and it will give you somewhat better performance, but ARMA is a poorly optimized game. You may be better off getting yourself a higher end card as well as upgrading your motherboard and processor. Its an older processor and games like ARMA that aren't optimized well tend to run worse without really strong hardware.

If it is a quality 600watt then 2 GTX950's should be fine. Two of them together draw only a little more than a GTX 970. That would be your cheapest route. Only thing I would check on is if the games you play can use SLI beforehand. Most AAA titles can, but just make sure. Also, I would check the price of another GTX950 + Mobo vs just a GTX 970. If they are close you may want to get a 970 and sell the 950.

I realize that arma is very poorly optimized. I will probably upgrade my cpu in a few months. BUt i can run GTA 5 on ultra just fine.

It should run it quite a bit better than your current GTX 950. Honestly, that is the route I would take.

It should run it quite a bit better than your current GTX 950. Honestly, that is the route I would take.
