Hello,
guys i am having
intel core 2 duo
1 hdd (160 gig)
no optical drive
2 gb ram
intel motherboard
will the card work fine on 300 watts

Yes it will if the psu actually outputs 300w.

Plz post your PSU brand and model.

Tom

I would say yes so long as the motherboard is PCI Express v1.1 compliant, vs the original PCI Express v1.0 spec.

- In v1.1 I believe they increased the power output that the PCIe x16 slot can output by +10 watts.

- Most HD7750's on the market don't require additional power.
- The 'newer' ones do, this has pros and cons.

What is the current video card in the system?
Does that card consume +/- 25 watts of a HD7750.
- If it does then there is a good chance it will work fine.

This card has a fairly good chance of working on a 300 watt PSU

Hi again Angel - I didn't find a review for bestec 300w, but they had
a terrible review on an older 250w. Your's might be fine as HP
prob contracted somewhat better specs than the old
250w I found.

So, use your gpu now, but start saving for an upgrade. You
won't need an expensive PSU, but a 350-430w from a quality brand
will give you peace of mind along with headroom.
