After having my PC repaired, the store replaced my motherboard with a Gigabyte H61M-USB3v motherboard but I'm wondering if my HD6870 will literally fit on the board. There is a SATA port (that's a mounted one, for some reason) that may get in the way of the card fitting in there (I haven't bought the card yet, so I can and am willing to change the card I buy).
The width of the card is 3.6cm but I don't know the distance of the x16 slot and the SATA port as mentioned above. Thanks.

Solution
MB Form Factor Micro ATX Form Factor; 22.6cm x 17.4cm

The Radeon HD 6870 is a dual slot graphics card with a length of 24.8 cm (9.8"), making it slightly longer than the width of a standard ATX motherboard

So I think the card will not fit in.

The GPU going off the bored (the fans) won't make a difference, will it?
What I'm concerned with is this.. http://imgur.com/M5L8aYF

See the circled SATA port? The width of the card (the poorly drawn red rectangle) WILL be too wide to fit in, right? THAT'S my concern.

Yeah, thank you for the clarification. I'll go for the GTX650 as it's much more likely to fit. Thank you.
